The two chalets “Sennhütte” and ‘Neuhofalm’ on the “Neuhofalm” of the same name are located in the plant conservation area in Obertauern - a paradise for nature lovers and sports enthusiasts!

Obertauern is one of the most snow-sure ski areas in Austria and, according to a scientific study, also the ski area with the most snow. You can also reach the pistes on skis from the Neuhofalm. The cross-country ski trail also runs through the alpine pasture, leading through a wonderful winter landscape. Ski boot dryers have been installed in both houses and each house has its own ski storage room. 
If there is enough snow, the ski slope can be reached on skis!

In summer, when the sun makes for oppressive heat in the valley, you can enjoy the pleasant temperatures on the alpine pasture.

Weekly program Obertauern

For our summer guests there is a weekly recurring summer program for all age groups from 28 June to 21 September 2025.
From Monday to Sunday you have the opportunity to explore our mountains & lakes, explore the forest and much more. Participation is free of charge. Extra costs (bus, cable car, etc.) are indicated. 

Summer Lungau-Card

 In the summer season (from May 29 to November 2, 2025), the Lungau Card offers a huge variety of free and discounted activities for the whole family, such as admission to cable cars and mountain railroads, outdoor parks, outdoor pools, museums and much more.
